In line with a physiological approach to portraiture, I am interested in faces during moments of forgotten self, when the expression is unadulterated by self consciousness. When I make a portrait I am after authentic relevance, an image that goes beyond the physical resemblance. Unfinished and unpolished, my portraits aim to reflect a connection between defining thoughts and outward expression. As such, the images tend to weave in and out of reality.
